Was born in December of 1977 to loving parents Keith and Kathy Hallett of the Edmonton area. As childhood progresses as they usually do, in the summer of 1988 Jamie and younger sister Kelly had the first opportunity to visit Bright Sand Lake for vacation; in addition visiting the lovely town of St. Walburg. As childhood progressed through to young adulthood Jamie enjoyed several sporting activities which included: football, soccer, rugby and fishing. In thus he has started his family at a young age and is blessed with 3 beautiful children, one of which is currently attending the St. Walburg high-school. Jamie is also very proud of his eldest that just graduated high school as he did in 1996 in Sherwood park. He looks forward to his youngest carrying on the mantle in engineering like his father has who graduated from chemical engineering in 2004.As Jamie’s career progressed he found himself working within multiple government agencies, municipal authorities and volunteering within his communities. Jamie has always tried to make it to Bright Sand as an annual summer event. As the economic downturn turn occurred Jamie ended uprooting his family for a more familiar place that has always been home. Moving to St. Walburg in June of 2015.
As a Councillor of St. Walburg he would like to see:
– Improvements in water quality
– Updates and changes to specific by-laws
– Increase family activities/events for the Town of St. Walburg
In addition to this, overall a better economic diversification for the Town of St. Walburg.
