Born and raised on a farm near Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Married to Joan Prudat, nee Brandenburg, for 42 great years and counting. Moved to St. Walburg to be close to family, but this is one of the nicest areas of Canada in which to live. It is safe here, the people are honest, helpful and so very nice. I joined the Canadian Military at a young age, graduated from the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College in Toronto and Memorial University in Newfoundland. I have spent many years at sea and was the Captain of one of Canada’s helicopter equipped destroyers that had a crew of 300 sailors, and which operated globally. After 37 years of Military service I retired and joined the Federal Public Service as a senior Federal Government Employee and was employed, in Ottawa, by the Centre for Operational Research and Analysis (CORA). After 45 plus years combined military and civil service to Canada, I have retired to St. Walburg. I am an accomplished offshore sailor having raced sailing yachts many thousands of miles in most oceans and I have circumnavigated the world. My hobbies are golfing, genealogy and reading and I am trying to become a fisherman.
