Hi, I’m Kim Gardner, and I grew up in St. Walburg. My parents also grew up here, as did my grandparents, so I’m very grateful for the deep connection I have to this town. After graduation I joined the work force, taking with me the values and people skills I learned growing up in a tight-knit, family based community. I applied these skills to various customer service and administrative jobs which brought me to Edmonton, Calgary, and Saskatoon, where I met and married my husband. We moved back to St. Walburg in 2008 after deciding that doing so would provide the quality of life our family was looking for.
I bring a down-to-earth approach to the council, focusing on the needs of the people in this community. For the past 11 years, I’ve worked for several businesses serving the people of St. Walburg and the surrounding area. This has helped me to develop a strong appreciation and respect, as well as a personal connection to the individual people of St. Walburg. The relationships I’ve built have made it very important for me to always strive for new ways to better serve the people of this town.
Faith, family, and community are my main priorities, and I believe that with these foundations, we can continue to grow St. Walburg as the strong, sustainable community that makes it such a desirable place to live.
