Waste Management

The Town of St. Walburg provides waste management and recycling services to the residents of St. Walburg and surrounding community. As a member of West Yellowhead Waste Resource Authority, we are committed to keeping the safety of our community at the forefront while also exploring new and innovative ways of managing recyclable products.

The most important reason for proper waste management is to protect the environment and for the health and safety of the population. Certain types of waste can be hazardous and can pollute the environment.

Waste management (or waste disposal) are the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal.[ This includes the collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste, together with monitoring and regulation of the waste management process.
